RAM is to store data the user is working on, it is volatile.
ROM is to store data the user has saved, it is not volatile. RAM is volatile and doesnt save when a machine is turned off whereas ROM does save the data when the computer is turned off - if saved. RAM is a temporary store of data that can be read and written into - however ROM is permanent and cannot be read or changed in any way. |
